Dr. Philip J. Tighe is a native of Allentown, Pennsylvania and is proud to be a descendant of ancestors living in the Lehigh Valley for over five generations. He is a graduate of Central Catholic High School, Muhlenberg College, Temple University School of Dentistry, and Georgetown University Graduate School of Orthodontics.
He served three years in the service as a dentist during the Vietnam War and achieved the rank of Lt. Commander. He worked two years at the National Institute of Health in Bethesda, Maryland as a dental research associate.
Dr. Tighe is a board certified orthodontist who has been in the private practice of orthodontics in Allentown for over 25 years. He is past president of the Lehigh County Dental Society and Past president of the Lehigh Valley Orthodontic Society. He is a member of the Alumni Board of Temple University School of Dentistry and was recently honored by the Dean as a "distinguished Alumni." He is on the staff of Lehigh Valley Hospital Center.
