Dr. Philip L. Tighe is a graduate of Central Catholic High School, the University of Richmond, Temple University School of Dentistry and New York University Graduate School of Orthodontics. Prior to studying orthodontics, he completed two years of general practice residency. The first year was at the University of Tennessee Medical Center and the second year at York General Hospital.

He is a member of the American Association of Orthodontists and the American Dental Association. He is a diplomat of the America Board of Orthodontics and serves as the Division Chief of Orthodontics at Lehigh Valley Hospital. He is a director of the Lehigh Valley Dental Association and is Second District Representative to the Pennsylvania Dental Association-New Dentist Committee.

His interests include skiing, biking, running, and golfing. He recently completed his first triathlon.
